Is it legal to ship a paintball gun from the U.S. to Europe (Hungary)? Do you have a link to the exact law concerning this matter? I would like to post it on my Ebay item page to avoid any confusion.

no, it is illegal to ship any liquid(if you are shipping any paint with it) or any recreation of a gun
