How did they not win?

I just read the PB2X December 2006 issue (Ironically enough, it says "Joy Wins!" on the front, but thats not what im talking about) in the "Paint by the numbers" section and it says that "Despite winning four of five events in the Millennium series this season [2006], Joy finished in second place in the second series title race." and then they say "Despit not winning a single event, the Tontons won the 2006 Millennium series title." WOW THAT'S CRAZZY!!!

it's old it's 2006...if i'm not mistaking this is 2007?
and Millennium is still going on I posted the standings in the PB News
